A total number of 13,166 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total tally of reported cases in total reach 4,28,94,345. With 26,988 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries climbed to 4,22,46,884. There are 1,34,235 active cases in the country which are equal to 0.31 percent of the total cases. The daily positivity rate is 1.28 percent. 302 people passed away in India yesterday and the total death tally climbed to 5,13,226. The total number of Indian vaccination doses administered in India are said to be 1,76,86,89,266. The new and the active cases saw a huge decline in the country and the restrictions are lifted.

As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total number of samples that are tested for Covid-19 in India till date are said to be 76,494,525 and the samples that are tested yesterday are said to be 10,30,016. The national recovery rate is 98.49 percent and the Indian government revealed that more than 11 crore vaccination doses of coronavirus are unused by the states and union territories. Andaman and Nicobar Islands reported no cases of coronavirus. The new cases of coronavirus reported today are 7 percent lower than yesterday. The active cases in all the states witnessed a huge decline and the Indian states, union territories lifted the restrictions.
